Meet the Founder

Starfish Parenting will help your child (and you) get the happiest and the most stress-free relationship you both need and deserve

Welcome! I am Mike Wallach, founder of Starfish Parenting.

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 13 years experience working with children.

I grew up in a small town in Indiana, and after my undergrad I spent two years in New Hampshire with the AmeriCorps volunteer program City Year working with children in a school setting.

After two years of service, I went on to received my masters in education from the University of Notre Dame.  Through my masters program, I taught 3rd grade at San Xavier Mission School on the Tohono O’odham Reservation in Tucson, Arizona.

I was introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) through a friend in 2010 and became engrossed in the concepts.  I received a Graduate Certificate from Northern Arizona University in Positive Behavior Support and became a BCBA in early 2014.

I love working with children and helping them seek their own potential through positive reinforcement.

In my private life, I have been married since 2010 and now has two beautiful daughters.  I enjoy trying new things and seeking out volunteer opportunities for my family.
